About Us
A safe environment is our top priority. The PNW Police Department operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week to provide security for our campuses.
Administration

Director of Public Safety Brian Miller
University Campus Police are under the direction Director of Public Safety Brian Miller. While some processes and procedures are still in the process of unifying under Purdue Northwest, please know that your safety and protection is our primary goal.
Full Police Powers
Under Indiana Law, University Police Officers possess full police powers including the power of arrest under IC 21-39-4 on all property owned or occupied by the University. On the Hammond Campus, the department also has a written mutual aid agreement with the City of Hammond Police, although primary jurisdictional areas are routinely respected.
