CIVS Student Honored with the Chancellor’s Medallion
Emily Higley, CIVS undergraduate Research student worker, recently received a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from PNW with the Chancellor’s Medallion. She is the graduating senior with the highest grade point average in the College of Engineering and Sciences. Congratulations to Emily Higley!
Emily has completed her senior project in CIVS, which is titled “O2 Enriched Combustion in Reheat Furnace”. Her group won the second prize in both the 2021 Discovery Day and 2021 Senior Design competition. Also, Emily is admitted into the 4+1 combined B.S. & M.S. in Mechanical Engineering Program. She will continue her research on reheating furnace simulations to investigate hydrogen combustion for her Master’s Thesis at CIVS.
