Invited Presentation at the AIST Ladle Committee Meeting

On March 30, 2022, at the invitation of Chase Ault, CIVS Ph.D. student Xipeng Guo presented the most recent research findings on the refining ladle project at AIST Ladle & Secondary Refining technology committee meeting at Hyatt House Virginia Beach Oceanfront in Virginia Beach, VA. Mr. Chase Ault from SDI, Chair of Ladle & Secondary Refining technology committee hosted the meeting and warmly welcomed all the attendees and presenters during the meeting.

The purpose of the trip to Virginia Beach is to give a presentation to the AIST Ladle & Secondary Refining technology committee regarding the SMSVC refining ladle project. The Presentation is to convey the scope and progress of the SMSVC consortium ladle project and show some of the states of artwork conducted by CIVS students and staff.

Ladle & Secondary refining technology committee is a specialized committee of Refining & Casting organized by AIST. Its mission is to advance the technical development of liquid steel handling and secondary refining through improved safety, quality, and productivity.
