CIVS Welcomes New Post-Doctoral Research Associate

CIVS welcomes new Post-Doctoral Research Associate, Mario Herrera-Ortega. Mario received his Ph.D. in Engineering Sciences from Instituto Tecnológico de Morelia with a focus on metallurgical and process engineering.
His main areas of expertise include computational fluid dynamics (CFD), heat transfer and numerical simulation of steelmaking processes such as ladle refining and electric arc furnaces. He will begin his research and work in CIVS on the $10 million DOE H2RF project.
This postdoctoral position offers a unique opportunity to grow as a researcher while tackling challenging problems in industrial combustion. I'm looking forward to expanding my skills and collaborating on projects that drive real innovation.
