CIVS Undergraduate Research Student Presented at Korean International Conference

Seongchan OhCongratulations to CIVS undergraduate research student Seongchan Oh for receiving a Certificate of Commendation for Excellence in Presenting at the 7th International Cultural Academic Conference held at the Korea International Culture Association (KICA). The conference was hosted by the Korea International Cultural Friendship Association for high-quality paper presentations. The projects titled “Agricultural Ammonia as a Sustainable Energy Source for Industrial Applications” evaluates the technical and logistical feasibility of the ‘Farm-to-Furnace’ route, which uses ammonia recovered from agricultural waste as low-carbon industrial fuel. Members of the project team are Anna Eshenbaugh, Samuel Burbage, and Kelsey Kotecki. They conducted their research at CIVS last summer as a part of the REEU Program. The PNW Research and Extension Experiences for Undergraduates (REEU) program is led by Professor Veera Gnaneswar Gude and sponsored by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA).
