MCE Summer Camp Students Visit CIVS
On July 6, over 20 high school students visited CIVS to learn the state-of-the-art technologies in simulation & visualization and their applications. This is part of activities of the one-week engineering summer camp for middle school students hosted by the by the PNW Department of Mechanical and Civil Engineering.

Representatives from AugMend Health Visit CIVS for VR-FUTURES Project
On June 9, AugMend Health staff visited CIVS for the VR-FUTURES (Virtual Reality For Understanding Trauma and Utilizing Regulation When Experiencing Stress), a VR tool for clinicians to use for youth who have been affected by adverse childhood experiences.

CIVS Researchers in Computer Science Presented at International Computer Vision Workshop
On June 3, CIVS research was presented at the Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition (CVPR) 2026 Workshop in Denver, CO. CIVS faculty collaborator Professor Yang Ni (PNW Assistant Professor of Computer Science) and two CIVS Research Assistants Jay Polra and Dhwanil Chauhan, who are pursuing their MS in computer science, presented their paper titled “Visual Geometry Grounded Novel-View Acoustic Synthesis”.
