The Department of Computer Information Technology and Graphics at Purdue University Northwest is offering a 1-week free VIRTUAL Advanced GenCyber Summer Camp for high school students in July 2021.

Inspiring the Next Generation of Cyber Stars

Let’s have fun with this five-day summer camp and learn cybersecurity’s six (6) concepts, cybersecurity awareness, and discover if higher education and a career in cybersecurity is right for you.

VIRTUAL Advanced GenCyber Summer Camp will immerse you in learner-centered, hands-on activities, including cybersecurity awareness education and security practices in software, systems, networks, applications, cryptography, and wireless.

July 12 – 16, 2021 ~ 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM

  • Day 1: Cybersecurity awareness training and software and system security.
  • Day 2: Network principles and security concepts and practices.
  • Day 3: Computer and network application security concepts and practices.
  • Day 4: Cryptography concepts and practices.
  • Day 5: Wireless vulnerabilities and security concepts and practices.

Participants Receive

  • Free GenCyber T-Shirt, Raspberry Pi, and USB drive will be provided.
  • A certificate has been awarded upon successful completion of this camp.


The camp will be held online and meet virtually at the scheduled time.
