Admissions Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university prior to registration as a graduate student
- 3.0 GPA (or equivalent) from an undergraduate institution
- Strong foundational psychology knowledge, as demonstrated through either:
- GRE Psychology Subject Test OR
- Grade of C+ or above in the following undergraduate courses:
- Intro/General Psychology or equivalent (e.g., AP credit)
- Developmental Psychology
- Abnormal Psychology
- Statistics
- Research Methods
- It is recommended, but not required, that students have some type of “real-world” volunteer, internship, or work experience in the psychology/behavioral health field.
Application Materials
- Official or unofficial transcript(s) from all prior institutions*
* Unofficial transcripts may be submitted with application, but official transcripts will need to be received by PNW prior to beginning the program.
- Three Letters of Recommendation (at least two from an academic mentor/instructor/advisor)
- Resume/Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- Written Statements

Psychological Testing and Assessment Clinic (PTAC)
Graduate Training Clinic
At PNW’s Psychological Testing and Assessment Clinic (PTAC), clinical psychology graduate students conduct evaluations under the supervision of licensed psychologists.
Program Accreditation
The Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) in Clinical Psychology program at Purdue University Northwest is not currently accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA). The program is seeking accreditation from the APA Commission on Accreditation (CoA). Accreditation is not guaranteed, and prospective students should consider the program’s current accreditation status when making enrollment decisions.
