Environmental Science Summer Camp
June 23 to June 27, 2025
Environmental Science Camp offers high school students a week of hands-on discovery that includes classroom activities, laboratory investigations and investigations in the field.

Camp Activities
In the classroom setting, you will learn about ecology, types of air and water pollution, and waste-treatment processes.
In the field, you will gain experience with Indiana tree identification and first-hand knowledge of waste treatment and disposal.
In the lab, you will gain skills with pipette handling, extraction, sample monitoring and data analysis of pollutants in water and air.
The emphasis of the camp is to familiarize students with environmental issues so students can engage in community discussions and develop solutions to problems.
June 23 to 27, 2024
Sessions are from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. daily at Purdue University Northwest’s Hammond Campus.
Lunch is included.
Free
Students must be entering grades 9 to 12 in Fall 2025.
