Ivy Tech to PNW Transfer Guide: Electrical Engineering
This transfer guide is for Ivy Tech Community College students planning on transferring to a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering degree program within the College of Engineering and Sciences at Purdue University Northwest.
Completing an Associate of Science (AS) degree is highly recommended though not all ITCC courses need to be completed prior to transfer to Purdue University Northwest. Consult with your academic advisor for assistance.

⁴ The technical elective is selected from a list of courses prepared by the faculty. ENGR 200 Thermodynamics or ENGR 260 Vector Mechanics – Statics or ENGR 261 Dynamics can be used as the Technical Elective if not used for the Engineering Elective.
⁵ Mathematics/Statistics/Science Elective – Select from Mathematics, Statistics, or Science course, with the approval of their advisor. The Math course must be above the level of MA 26500. The Physics course must be above the level of PHYS 26100. The Chemistry course must be CHM 11500 or higher. Biology or Statistics course with the approval of the advisor.

Additional Transfer Guidelines
- Students must have earned a course grade of “C-” or better on every course accepted for transfer.
- Students also must have achieved a 2.5 or greater cumulative GPA based on a 4-point scale. For additional program information, see the Purdue Northwest College of Engineering and Sciences.

- Master of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering: Students who have earned a PNW BS degree in Computer Engineering with a GPA of 3.0/4.0 or better will have guaranteed admission to the MSECE degree program at Purdue University Northwest. International Students must meet International Student Admissions requirements.
