High School Summer Engineering Camp

Calling future engineers! Join us for a FREE, exciting hands-on mechanical and civil engineering experience for high school students.

June 17 to 21, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

For students ages 14 to 17.

About Summer Engineering Camp

You will participate in interactive lab and classroom activities in both mechanical and civil engineering. These subject areas are degree programs offered at Purdue University Northwest.

The camp will cover practical engineering topics, including 3D printing, renewable energy, bridge/road designing, virtual reality and electric cars. Students will gain hands-on experience building a basal wood bridge, cardboard wind tunnel and EV go-cart.

Daily Schedule

Sessions and activities will be developed for  high school students. Sessions will rotate each day through different engineering areas and topics. Camp certificates will be presented at the end of the week during a closing ceremony on Friday afternoon.

Open to high school students.
