Nursing faculty members advocate for APRN practicing independence in Indiana
A family nurse practitioner (FNP) or advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) is an advantageous occupation because it allows an extent of autonomy and diagnostic privileges when treating patients. But in Indiana, a caveat comes with providing that care.

PNW Athletics Posts 3.19 GPA in Spring 2023
The Purdue University Northwest Department of Athletics announced its student-athletes produced a cumulative team GPA of 3.19 in Spring 2023. The Pride continue to excel in the classroom as the department has produced 15 straight semesters with at least a 3.0 GPA.

Transition to Faculty, June 30, 2024
It has been my honor and privilege to serve as the Chancellor of Purdue University Northwest these past 12 years. As you may know, the Purdue University system has a policy limiting how long one can serve in leadership positions. For the last few years, I have known that my last day as Chancellor will be June 30, 2024.

PNW Operating Remotely on March 3
Due to expected inclement winter weather likely to cause hazardous travel conditions, PNW will pivot to remote operations for Friday, March 3, 2023. Classes scheduled for Friday will be held virtually. Founders Day activities will be postponed.

Purdue University Northwest’s (PNW) Center for Faculty Excellence (CFE) hosted a “Celebrating Excellence: Taking PRIDE in Our Teaching'' event to recognize faculty members’ commitment to excellent teaching and honor current and past cohort members for their completion of the Association of College and University Educators (ACUE) course in Effective Teaching Practices.

New time capsule captures snapshot of PNW for future campus communities
After the recovery of a 1990s-era time capsule in spring 2022 on Purdue University Northwest’s (PNW) Westville campus, the 5.75 Roaring Ahead Steering Committee commissioned a new time capsule to historically preserve the essence of present-day campus life to share with future students, faculty, and staff more than two decades in the future.
