Co-Curricular Record

The Co-Curricular Record (CCR) is a personalized record of university-approved and facilitated activities in which students have been involved.

Graphic: PNW Co-Curricular RecordIt will help students find opportunities to learn outside of the classroom and then will capture those activities, and the learning outcomes derived from them, on an official document that the student can use in furthering their employment and educational goals.

The Co-Curricular Record document is an unofficial record for non-credit bearing experiences that will be tracked through MyPNWLife. The badges earned from the experience can be added to your LinkedIn profile.

Co-Curricular Badges and Levels

Connect. Engage. Roar.

Each Co-Curricular badge is made up of three smaller levels, called sub-badges. These sub-badges show a student’s progress as they get more involved. Together, these levels help guide students step-by-step as they grow their skills and experiences.

  • Connect is the introductory level. At this stage, students build awareness by exploring opportunities, attending events and learning about resources related to the badge area. It emphasizes exposure and initial participation.
  • Engage represents active involvement. Students begin applying what they have learned by participating more consistently, developing skills and contributing to organizations, programs or experiences. This level highlights practice and demonstrated growth.
  • Roar is the highest level of achievement. Students demonstrate mastery through leadership, initiative or significant contributions. At this level, students often take on advanced roles, create or lead initiatives, and showcase their learning through tangible outcomes.

Together, these sub-badges provide a structured pathway that moves students from awareness (Connect) to application (Engage) to mastery and leadership (Roar), helping them intentionally grow their skills and experiences throughout their time at PNW.

Frequently Asked Questions

A Co-Curricular Record (CCR) is an official document that recognizes and tracks a student’s involvement in activities outside the classroom, such as leadership roles, volunteer work, professional development and extracurricular engagement.

It serves as a complement to an academic transcript, showcasing skills and experiences that contribute to a student’s personal and professional growth. Our CCR helps students demonstrate competencies to employers and/or graduate schools.

A Co-Curricular Record (CCR) showcases your involvement beyond the classroom, helping you stand out to employers and graduate schools. By documenting your leadership roles, volunteer work and extracurricular activities, your CCR highlights the skills you’ve developed, such as teamwork, communication and problem-solving.

Since it’s officially recognized by the university, it adds credibility to your experiences and provides a competitive edge on resumes and applications. Additionally, a CCR can support scholarship opportunities and demonstrate your career readiness by showing a well-rounded college experience. You can edit your CCR by navigating to MyPNWLife > My Involvement > My Co-Curricular Transcript and switching to Edit to customize your displayed groups, badges, and experiences.
