New RSO Guide

Explore the guidelines for starting a registered student organization (RSO) at PNW.

Helpful Links

When registering your student organization, make sure to include the following:

  • Three officers and 5 non-officer members
  • One full-time faculty/staff member to serve as an advisor
  • A constitution
  • Name and Acronym
  • Logo
  • Mission Statement

Optional Information

Although these items are not required, you may include:

  • Membership Benefits
  • Goals for the RSO
  • Additional members beyond eight students

Register your Student Organization

When registering your Greek RSO, make sure to include the following:

  • Three officers and one unique non-officer member
  • One full time faculty/staff to serve as an advisor
  • A constitution
  • Name and Acronym
  • Logo
  • Mission Statement

Optional Information

Although these items are not required, you may include:

  • Membership Benefits
  • Goals for the Greek RSO
  • Bylaws of the Greek RSO
  • Additional members beyond one student

Register your Student Organization

*Please note that applications to receive SSF Funds for the 2025-2026 Academic Year has passed. New RSOs can receive a $200 startup fund from the SSF Reserve. Additional funds may be available by request.


Constitution Requirements

Your constitution for both new student organizations and Greek RSO must include the following:

  • Must add that three members will be undergraduate students
  • Must add an election section
  • Must add Article 8: Disbursement of funds from the sample constitution
