Student Life Activities Board
The Student Life Activities Board at Purdue University Northwest is a student-led organization dedicated to creating fun, engaging and meaningful experiences outside of the classroom.
Commonly known as SLAB, the board plays a central role in shaping campus life by planning and hosting innovative programs, events and entertainment that foster connection, belonging and school spirit across both campuses.
Through its work, SLAB provides students with opportunities to develop valuable skills in event planning, marketing, communication, budget management and leadership, while collaborating with campus partners and the Office of Student Life to bring impactful experiences to the PNW community.
From large-scale campus events to interactive activities and traditions, including signature programs such as Battle of the Orgs, Breakfast with Santa, the International Women’s Day Flower Giveaway, the Trick or Treat event, the Thankful Turkey Project, the Food Truck Festival and SLAB Cranes of Hope: Cancer Awareness, SLAB is committed to helping students learn, have fun and feel connected at Purdue University Northwest.
Students involved in SLAB gain hands-on experience, build lasting relationships and contribute directly to enhancing the overall student experience. Membership is open to creative, engaged students who are interested in making a difference and leaving their mark on campus life.
