All freshman applicants are automatically considered for merit-based scholarships when they apply to PNW.
Students can also apply for scholarships that they are matched with through Scholarship Universe. Another way to reduce the amount your student needs to pay upfront is by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), which provides access to federal, state and college aid in the form of grants, loans and work-study funds.
Every PNW student is paired with a dedicated member of the financial aid team who can help them explore their options. Students can find their assigned advisor by visiting the financial aid section of their myPNW portal.
If your student is unsure what majors are available at PNW and would like to explore, our Program Finder allows them to view all programs offered at the university and learn what each program entails.
If they are unsure what career path they want to pursue, your student can start as an undecided student, where they can explore PNW’s offerings and discover their interests and passions.
Every PNW student is paired with a dedicated member of the financial aid team who is ready to assist your student with the FAFSA. Students can find their assigned advisor by visiting the financial aid section of their myPNW portal.

PNW not only works to encourage but celebrate our First-Generation college students. From First-Gen Pride Grants to TRIO and Educational Opportunity Programs to First-Gen Celebration Week and more, your student will have an abundant community and support team behind them.

Additional scholarship opportunities are available to all students through Scholarship Universe.
To explore scholarships, your student can log in to Scholarship Universe with their PNW login information. By answering a few questions, your student will be matched with scholarships they qualify for and can apply directly through the platform!
Frequently Asked Questions
We offer rolling admissions for our domestic undergraduate application, meaning there is no set application deadline. Applications are reviewed on a continuous basis until all spots are filled or the semester begins.
The transfer application deadline is Aug. 1. International application deadlines are June 1 for the fall semester and Oct. 15 for the spring semester.
We review applications on a continuous basis, so your student can expect to receive a decision within a few weeks after submitting all the application materials.

General admission to PNW requires at least a 2.3 cumulative GPA for freshmen and a 2.0 cumulative GPA across all previously attended schools for transfer students. Admission requirements for specific programs vary.
PNW New Student Orientation (NSO) is your student’s opportunity to get everything they need to start their college experience on the right foot.
Led by current PNW students, NSO gives your student the chance to understand college expectations, connect with peers, access campus resources, meet faculty and staff, and more. Your student will also receive their PNW ID, PNW gear and a PNW Bound yard sign.
Parents are welcome to attend NSO and support their student!
