Contracts Offered
No matter when you decide to stay with us, we have a contract available for you!
Please note: we do not offer fall semester-only contracts.
This contract offers housing for the entire academic year. It starts in August and ends in May. You will be provided housing starting on move-in day through the Saturday of finals week in May. This includes breaks, you will NOT have to move out during break periods. This contract will be available in the housing application starting in January.
Please note: the dates for this time period are noted in the specific contract in your housing application. Please be sure to review these dates to ensure you understand when you will have housing.
This contract offers housing for the spring semester only. It starts in January and ends in May. You will be provided housing starting on move-in day through the Saturday of finals week in May. This includes breaks, you will NOT have to move out during break periods. This contract will be available in the housing application starting in late October.

This contract offers housing during the summer months. It starts in May and ends in August. You will be provided housing starting on move-in day through the Saturday of finals week in August. This includes breaks, you will NOT have to move out during break periods. This contract will be available in the housing application starting in April.

Current Students living in Housing will be offered a special price to extend their current contract into the summer months. Please watch for our Summer Extension Form in January of each year! More information will arrive via your PNW student email or check out our social media.

The Application Process
The Housing Application is only available on your myPNW portal (in the Life@PNW tab under “Housing and Dining”). You will need to have your Purdue Login ready!
- If you are 17 years old or younger, you will need to have parent/guardian approval to accompany your contract. Please include their email in your application so they can be sent the approval form. Your application will not be considered complete until their approval form is submitted.
ROOMMATE NOTE: You will be able to find new roommates (or search for friends) in your application after you have signed the housing contract. It will also show you suggested students you are a best match with based on your Personal Housing Profile. Please be as honest as possible when completing your Personal Housing Profile as that is what we use to find your best roommate matches! If you aren’t truthful, you can end up with students you may not get along well with which can make living together uncomfortable.
The sooner you complete your housing application items, the better as that will give you the greatest amount of students to pick as a roommate. The later you apply for housing, the smaller the potential roommate pool becomes.
A non-refundable, one-time* application fee of $20.00 will appear on your student account within 24 hours of submitting your housing application. Please allow time for this to appear on your student account. This can be paid online, by money order online or in the Bursar’s Office by check/cash.

*If you have already paid a Housing Application Fee in the past, you will NOT have to do so again. It will remain on file forever.
A refundable* housing deposit of $200.00 is required to live on campus. This will NOT appear on your student account and must be paid separately. This can be paid online, by money order online or in the Bursar’s Office by check/cash.

**The housing deposit is refundable until the Housing Contract is signed by the student submitting the housing application. Submitting a completed Housing Contract and a $200.00 housing deposit does not guarantee a room assignment. Room assignments are limited and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. A room assignment is reserved only upon execution of the application process requirements listed here. Housing costs are subject to change.
A complete Immunization List must be submitted on the Med+Proctor website. Visit our Immunization Website for a list of all required immunizations. This step takes the longest for our students to complete, so the earlier you can start on gathering your immunizations, the better!
Please note: All immunizations must be uploaded to Med+Proctor. We will not accept paper copies of immunization records, DO NOT send them in the mail or via email.

Special Notes for International Students
Move-in day for NEW international students is Friday, August 11, 2023 (Fall) or December 29, 2024 (Spring). If you arrive before this day, you will be charged $30.00 a day as this time is not covered in your Housing contract.
- Please be sure to check the Center for Disease Control guidelines for all students who are entering the United States starting in August. Please visit our Welcome Guide and check your PNW email for updates and more information on how to move in safely.
- If you are coming from a country that has travel restrictions, please reach out to housing at Housing@pnw.edu so we can work with you on your arrival.
- If you are planning to come to campus in the Spring semester, please be aware that the University is closed in observance of the winter holiday season. To ensure you are able to plan accordingly for your arrival, please make sure to have your application items completed by December 18th. This will allow us time to process everything and get you an update before we close. The office will remain closed through the beginning of January.
If you choose to wire the application fee of $20.00 and the housing deposit of $200.00, please be mindful that the wire transfer (Opens in New Window) fee may be taken out of the $220.00 unless additional money is paid. We advise that you check with your banking institution about fees in relation to the wire transfers so that you ensure the housing application fee and housing deposit are received in full.
