We highly recommend the PNW on-campus student housing complex, University Village. Located on the Hammond campus, it offers safe, affordable, apartment-style living that is walking distance to classes, the fitness center, dining hall, library, student activities and more.
Arrival to Campus and Airport Pick-Up
PNW will be offering airport pick-up service to those internationals who are interested and register on or before Friday, August 6, 2021. We will be picking up from Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD) or Chicago Midway International Airport (MDW) between set hours on each of the available dates below. More information and details will be sent to you in an e-mail after you register. There is no charge for this service and registration is required.
PNW will not offer a pick-up service outside of these dates.
Airport Pick-Up Dates

10 a.m. to 10 p.m. CT
If you will not arrive during these dates, PNW cannot offer a free pick-up service. However, many community members reported a positive experience with the transportation services listed below.

Mandatory Check-In and New International Student Orientation
One of the first things for you to do once you arrive in the US is report to the Office of Immigration Services in Lawshe Hall 105-106 for immigration check-in (SEVIS).
Please bring the following:
- Your passport, with the appropriate student/scholar visa
- Your Certificate of Eligibility (I-20 or DS-2019)
- Any other immigration-related documents that you have obtained, such as from the Customs and Border Patrol Agents or any previous schools you may have attended

All international undergraduate and graduate students who are registered, regardless of credit hours, or in an approved professional certificate program must enroll in the mandatory university health insurance plan unless you meet the criteria for a waiver.
