PNW’s English Training in Engineering program has maintained a long-term cooperation with more than 30 top universities in China and has more than 400 excellent graduates since it was established in 2006.

ETIE Programs

  • Current undergraduate junior students
  • Time: Fall and Spring semesters (August to May)
ETIE Recruiting Academic Requirements:
  • Minimum GPA of 2.5
  • English Proficiency Test: CET-4 test with 500 or pass CET-6, or TOEFL PBT 500, iBT 70, or IELTS 6
  • Graduate application: TOEFL score higher than 80 or IELTS higher than 6.5
Minimum course requirements per semester:
  • 1 English course
  • 2 Engineering courses
  • 1 Senior design
Degree from home university/ETIE Certificate from PNW:
  • Undergraduate degree from home universities
  • ETIE certificate from PNW
Continuous Study:
  • GRE is waived for admission to MSE, MSME, MSECE program at PNW
  • Graduate application: TOEFL score higher than 80 or IELTS higher than 6.5
  • Students who have received their undergraduate degrees
  • Time: one or two semesters
ETIE Recruiting Academic Requirements:
  • Minimum GPA of 2.5

Continuous Study:

  • Students who have enrolled in a master’s degree program for one year
  • Time: one or two semesters
  • Master’s degree from both universities

  • Up to 4 graduate courses (with a minimum grade of B) can be transferred from home university to PNW

One or Two Semester Visiting Program

  • Undergraduate or graduate student
  • Time: one or two semesters
  • GRE is waived (TOEFL or IELTS is required) for admission to Master of Science programs in the field of Engineering at PNW
Admission Criteria:
  • Minimum GPA of 2.5
  • English Proficiency Test: CET-4 test with 500 or pass CET-6, or TOEFL PBT 500, iBT 70, or IELTS 6
Minimum course requirements per semester:
  • 1 English course
  • 3 Engineering courses
