Course Overview

The PIVOT Lite course is an online, self-paced course designed to provide faculty with resources and strategies to design and deliver a well-aligned, engaging course to be offered in any instructional modality.  It takes approximately 2-4 hours to complete (can spend more time exploring supplemental resources).

The course also gives faculty an opportunity to be a learner in the Brightspace environment and try out some of the Brightspace tools from a student perspective.

Through this self-paced course, faculty will…

  • Implement effective course design principles as the foundation of your courses regardless of instructional format.
  • Develop modified instructional plans based on announced/anticipated instructional format decisions and in consideration of student characteristics.
  • Identify strategies to communicate with and engage students in the learning process.

Eligibility

The program is open to all PNW faculty and instructors (full- or part-time).
