PNW is a great community to grow with. The campus is small enough for personal attention in classes and large enough to have a variety of events.
Throughout my four years, I learned to be a leader—not just in college, but also in life.
It’s possible to speak to your professors and get to know them and have them get to know you. It feels like a community.
I loved the labs. The labs took everything I learned in class and put it into actual physical form. It’s a hands-on program where you attend lectures and then you go to lab and it’s exactly what you just studied.
All of the hands-on training I’m receiving at PNW is helping me narrow down exactly what I want to do once I graduate.

By partnering with regional industry, the technology laboratories are maintained at state-of-the-art levels. The college has invested more than $300,000 in facility enhancements to its laboratories.
The Engineering Technology department has incorporated knowledge covering the mechanics, electronics and computer control needed to design and operate robotic devices into their courses.
Faculty and students work to provide solutions to specific industry problems while providing students with experiential learning opportunities.
Industry supported lab environments are equipped with articulated robotic arms, mobile robot-bases and machine vision systems. From autonomous vehicles to sensor-driven manufacturing systems, robotic innovations are at the forefront of technology advances today.
Signature programs include Cybersecurity, Mechatronics Engineering Technology (first of its kind) and Computer Information Technology (nationally recognized in information assurance and cyber defense).

Purdue University Northwest Students Earn Fall 2025 Dean’s List Honors
The Purdue University Northwest fall 2025 Dean’s List recognizes 1,877 undergraduate students for their academic achievements.
Magesh Chandramouli, professor of Computer Graphics Technology, spent three weeks during December 2025 as a U.S. Fulbright Specialist at Politecnico di Torino (Polytechnic University of Turin) in Turin, Italy.
Purdue University Northwest presents career possibilities in STEM for area high schoolers
Over 200 area high school students were immersed in the fundamentals and real-world applications of artificial intelligence, cybersecurity robotics and more through Purdue University Northwest’s (PNW) annual “AI, Cybersecurity, and STEM Discovery Day” event in December 2025.
